We had quite a storm last night!!! Sometime our doggies get scared and run. If your pet is missing this morning, a good suggestion would be to contact Maricopa County Animal Care and Control. MCACC operates two Centers that provide lost and found services for dogs and cats. If you did lose your pet here in the Valley a good place to start looking is online at www.pets911.com. This web site acts as a local lost and found in the Valley. You can search to see if anyone has posted a notice about a lost pet. You can post a notice saying that you have found a pet. You can also call Pets 911 at 1-888-PETS-911. All stray animals that come into the MCACC Centers are registered with Pets 911.Vist their shelters every two days to look for your pet.
- The East Valley facility is located in Mesa at 2630 W. 8th Street (8th Street and the 101).
- The West Valley facility is located in Phoenix at 2500 S. 27th Avenue (27th Avenue and Lower Buckeye).
- Lost and found hours at both of those facilities are Monday-Friday 11am-5:30pm, Saturday 11am-5:30pm, and Sunday noon-4pm.

Longtime listeners of the KOOL Morning Krew know that we on the show are BIG TIME animal lovers, and all have numerous pets in our homes. Pets bring a special joy to our lives and always a smile to our faces. They have a way of working themselves into our hearts to become more than just pets; they become members of our families. You may have heard me talk about two members of my family, Katie the Basset Hound, and Connor My Yellow Lab. Well, I just wanted to let you know that we lost a member of our family on Thursday. Katie is no longer with us, but is in a much better place. My daughter and I miss her, and can’t help but smile when remembering how funny she was just sitting there being a Basset Hound! By the way, she may look angry in this picture, but if you were to pull back all of that extra skin, you would see that she was actually smiling under there because not only did she get to the couch first, she also had one of her favorite treats! - Peaker

Since seeing is believing. Here’s the photos you nay-sayers!!! These are photos from a group of guys in Georgia who claim they found the body of a Bigfoot. They have stored him/her in a freezer and plan on DNA testing.
Thanks to www.Cryptomundo.com for the pix.

I loved the opening ceremonies Friday evening! And I have to hand it to the host country (China); it was one of the best I’ve seen. I’m really looking forward to watching the best of the best compete against each other on the national stage over the next week or so. And when you think about it, is there anything better than seeing someone from the good old U.S. of A crush their competition, then stand tall on that podium, choking back tears, while America’s national anthem plays!! I think not. But you know, there seems to be something missing from the games. It wasn’t until I beat overnight KOOL jock Drew Bland like a rented mule on the golf course last Saturday, that it came to me…GOLF! Let’s face it, if they can actually put table tennis on the menu as a legitimate sport without laughing, by golly, we can have golf too! Who’s with me!!?? There are a few details that will have to be worked out, like… Do the East German women have to use the men’s tees? (Have you seen some of them?) If Men don’t drive past the Women’s tee’s… well, you know the tradition! Can you buy Mulligan’s from the Pro Shop? Will golf carts resembling 57 Chevy’s be allowed on the course? How about the occasional exploding golf ball joke? Yes, there are a few things to work out, but I think we’re onto something! By the way, don’t forget that Scott Light from 12 News joins the KOOL Morning Crew each weekday with Olympic reports from China! - Peaker
