NEVER FORGET!

Please join the Fly The Flag campaign. TOMORROW, September 11th, 2008, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States. Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on the seventh anniversary of one our country’s worst tragedies. We do this in honor of those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.
GOD BLESS YOU and GOD BLESS AMERICA!

I wrote this poem in honor of 9/11 and the Twin Towers, and wanted to share it:
Saints of Ground Zero
By Anita (Martinez) Tate
Raise your eyes ever bravely
Where two soldiers stood so tall
Icons of America
Spirits that will never fall
Twin Towers of strong steel
You tried so not to falter
Buckling from two broken hearts
For the victims you could not halter
Rest within their shadows
Brave victims, brave heroes
You’ll not be forgotten
The Saints of ground zero

9/11/01 was the decision maker for my youngest son and 5 of his buddies to join the Service. 2 Army, 3 Marines, 1 Coast Guard. Only 1 did not come back; Anthony David Ewing lost his life in Iraq, Memorial Day 2007.
I am a Proud American.
I appreciate that KOOL pays tribute to our men and women in Serive every evening at 5:30. I think it’s wonderful that you “salute” our Country at noon every work day.
Thank you

You can look through rose colored glasses and think that thins are just fine… the reality is a grim view. America is being attacked and most Americans are complacent about it, is it because they just don’t care or they just feel there is nothing that can be done? So we see America is now a shadow of the twin towers, crumbling and falling apart. Our country has been turned up-side down, and that is the reason I fly my flag inverted. To cry aloud my displeasure for what is taking within our borders. If all Americans were to do at least that, perhaps our leaders would begin to listen. And maybe – begin to do something about it. What do you think… should we just thro up our hands, say oh-well. Or should we the people do what needs to be done. The first step should be to stop the flood of ill-minded people coming into our country. Step two – get rid of all those that don’t belong (all criminals). Dream a good dream… it’s only possible if all good people get involved. God helps them who help themselves, this implies that we do something.
