Are you calling me FAT???
Tom and I have both put on a little weight over the past three months. We have both resolved to eat healthier and drop a few pounds in 2009. We both want to lose about 20 pounds. AND, since misery loves company, we have started Club Chunk.
Feel free to share with us how many fun pounds you’ve added to your caboose.
Kool Listener Jerry joined Club Chunk with a PLUS 17.

Heard your comments this morning about gaining weight over the holidays. I put on 8 lbs! You hear the avg. is 3-5 and I was even trying not to overeat. I was being good and keeping my weight at 200 for years and now I went up to 208. Now I have 48 lbs to go. I refuse to go up yet another pants size, and this is a turning point for me. I get so hungry in the evening before bed and didn’t wat the chips last night. I prayed about it and with the Lord’s help we will overcome.
God bless you and give you strength,

Yikes!! I gained 10 lbs. I need to lose at least
15 to 20 lbs. I already started eating salads with my homemade honey & apple cider vinegar
dressing with lot’s of spices. Making homemade
soups too.Watching my calories & sodium intake. Started walking more & exercising more & eating less sweets & chocolates. I will be praying for
all of us. We can all lose the pounds, we can
do this together. It’s true what they say, when
we get abit older, it is harder to lose the pounds. WE WILL OVERCOME!!

Hi my name is Bob and I’m FAT(chunky)sounds like AA, but it works. I’m with you guys all the way.
I’d love to lose 40lbs, but I’m starting with a lower goal of 15lbs, I think it’s a mental thing.
I’m back at the gym.
Drive friendly & safe!

T’was the month after Christmas,
and all through the house,
Nothing would fit me,
not even a blouse.
The cookies I’d nibbled, the chocolate I’d taste
At the holiday parties had gone to my waist.
When I got on the scales there arose such a number!
When I walked to the store (less a walk than a lumber),
I’d remember the marvellous meals I’d prepared;
The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared,
The wine and the rum balls, the bread and the cheese
And the way I’d never said, “No thank you, please.”
As I dressed myself in my husband’s old shirt
And prepared once again to do battle with dirt…
I said to myself, as I only can,
“You can’t spend a winter, disguised as a man!”
So, away with the last of the sour cream dip.
Get rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chip.
Every last bit of food that I like must be banished
Till all the additional ounces have vanished.
I won’t have a cookie, not even a lick.
I’ll want only to chew on a long celery stick.
I won’t have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie.
I’ll munch on a carrot and quietly cry.
I’m hungry, I’m lonesome, and life is a bore…
But isn’t that what January is for?
Unable to giggle, no longer a riot.
Happy New Year to all, and to all a good diet

OMG I gained 25 lbs over the holidays, and it didn’t help that I’m already 15 overweight as it is. My husband does the cooking and all I can say is homemade mashed potatoes and gravy with heavy cream. I didn’t help at all with a carmel and peacan cheescake. We have both joined a gym and we will see how it works out. PRAY FOR US!!!

Summer was over and up went my weight, I need to loose at least 30 pds. I usually don’t gain weight over the holidays, but for some reason, this year I did. Has anyone tried ACAIBURN or is that another diet ripoff? Good Luck to everyone. Oh and I lost a 1/2 pd this morning. I can see that this is going to be a long haul.

Started my diet 02 January 2009! My goal is to lose fifty pounds. In twelve days I have lost eighteen pounds. I use a medically proven and safe, healthy of two different types of diets that compliment each other. I use a combination of a low carbohydrate for three days exclusively. Then I switch for three days to a high protein diet. The 7th day or Sunday is my free day. This diet works because you get the carbs and protein you need. Your body gets all the nutrition it needs and your diet never plateau’s. Since you switch back and forth, the body re-adjusts the incoming carbs vs high proteins, so you never peak but actually lose weight consistenly. The carb diet allows only 25 carbs max per day. The high protein diet allows unlimited protein but no carbs at all. Get a calorie and carb counter booklet, plan your meals daily! You can easily lose a pound a day or more with no excersise! If you excersise, you will lose faster! Remember we now know that salads are fattening! Vegetables are loaded with carbohydrates! You must watch the carbs! All this new information on dieting has become available only the last five years! Check it out and good luck! Always check with your doctor before starting also! I am thankful for a nutritionist that help me out five years ago. I go on the up and down scale but its so easy every couple years to use this diet! My first try out on this diet, I lost seventy five pounds in two and half months safely and was never hungry or with cravings! Good Luck
